YOUR CHALLENGE AT WIRE
We are looking for an experienced Manager to lead a team of talented Web Engineers working on Wire’s Web and Desktop apps.
The position consists of 3 main missions:
People Management: Developing your team skills to maximize their day-to-day impact over company KPIs, while aiming at making them autonomous.
Scope management: Mastering your team’s scope to understand what needs to be done and how to do it, to both fulfill today’s needs and anticipate tomorrow's challenges.
Delivery Management: Ensuring your team’s work is matching expectations and quality standards, while being delivered in a smooth & efficient way.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN DETAILS
Partner with product teams to define high-level delivery strategies and iterative specifications, focusing on providing incremental value.
Collaborate with Senior and Staff Engineers to design technical architectures that are scalable, flexible, reliable, and aligned with the organization’s standards.
Actively participate in and challenge technical decision-making to ensure solutions are robust and forward-looking.
Monitor team performance and refine internal workflows and processes in collaboration with external teams to enhance efficiency.
Address challenges and conflicts as they arise, removing obstacles to enable your team’s success.
Lead initiatives to improve technical architecture and developer experience, ensuring these efforts are well-understood and supported by all stakeholders.
Advocate for and incorporate technical improvements and innovation into the team’s priorities.
Provide the right environment and assignments for each team members to progress in their career while feeling psychologically safe
Define along with your product’s pairs and team’s stakeholders the team roadmap, without forgetting technical and “debt reduction” topics
Along with Senior and Staff Engineers, drive initiatives to improve technical architecture and developer experience, while ensuring their purpose & effects are well understood by anyone
