YOUR CHALLENGE AT WIRE

We are hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – SDET to strengthen our automated testing capabilities and drive the quality and reliability of our platform. In this role, you will build, improve, and maintain automation frameworks, enhance our CI/CD pipelines, and promote a culture of continuous testing across the organisation.

You will work cross-functionally with Backend, Platform, and QA Engineers and operate within the Platform/Backend discipline while supporting multiple scopes. As an active member of our QA Guild, you will contribute to shared best practices, tooling, and testing standards. Your work will directly influence how we build, release, monitor, and scale our platform. 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Improve the testability of software: work closely with scopes & platform teams to help drive & improve the testability of our software.

  • Develop and maintain test frameworks design and executing automated tests, improving CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high product reliability and quality.

  • Daily collaboration with platform & Backlend to enhance test coverage, streamline deployment processes, and monitor system health through automation and observability tools.

  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. Work with platform & backend & security to establish best practice

  • Experience in configuring and maintaining clear test reporting for both the scope QA & Clients.

  • Work as a core developer across several functions to develop automation tests, and are responsible for managing and configuring our test frameworks.

  • Experience in implementing & improving monitoring & observability practices
    You will be a key contributor to co-ordinating and defining how we test within a devops and continuous testing environment.

YOUR PROFILE

Skills:

  • Programming: Proficient in at least one programming language

  • Automation Frameworks: Experience with automated frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright

  • SSDLC understanding: A good understanding of the secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC)

  • Agility: Familiar with agile delivery practices

  • Have a “Shift left testing mindset”: Demonstrable professional competency in test execution, root cause analysis and attention to detail, with the aim to ”fail fast” and promote the need to test as early as possible in the development lifecycle.

  • Version control: Experience with versioning & version control

  • CI/CD tools: experience with CI/CD tools & the ability to transfer skills to the frameworks in place at Wire.

  • Communication: Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Experience with Unit, black box and white box testing techniques

  • Experience in working in a fast paced environment that has the passion to scale & improve testing practices

Essential Experience

  • 5–7 Years of experience of working within a SDET role & proficient in one or more programming languages.

  • Experience of executing & managing security testing principles and policies such as (Pen testing, SAST/DAST) and experience in contributing to security focused audits & certifications.

  • ISTQB, GTB foundation level or equivalent test qualification.

  • Strong experience with one or more test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Testrail).

  • Experience of testing & consideration of integrations with third party services.

  • Ability to manage, create or integrate open source test tooling.
